Frequently Asked Questions

  • Q:  What is the difference between relaxation and clinical massage?
  • A:  Relaxation massage is very superficial work using broad strokes, oils, and lotions specific for relaxation.  Clinical massage is a condition specific, deeper, yet comfortable, massage specific for symptom relief.
  • Q:  Do I have to remove my clothes?
  • A:  We use surgical draping.  The only area that is exposed is the area being treated.
  • Q:  How often should I be treated?
  • A:  Considering pain severity, choices vary from several times a week to only when pain is aggravated, or to maintain musculo-skeletal comfort.
  • Q:  What can I do to make the benefits last?
  • A:  You will be provided with education including, but not limited to:  Stetching and strengthening, suggestions for water intake and sleeping positions, etc.
